This page features a miscellany of Irish TR models, interesting facts and photos

TR8 1980 | ZV-11581
This rare TR is number 4 of just 18 factory-built right hand drive Triumph TR8 cars.
Fastidiously maintained by her current and previous owners, Number 4 is one of two factory-built TR8s in our club today.
This photo was taken 'on tour' in Spain in 2022.

TR3 1956 | CIF-879
This wonderful TR3 is a One Owner From New Triumph TR. She toured Canada, USA & Mexico in 1957/8 towing a caravan on the entire trip.
Today this much-loved TR3 is kept at her home in Co Cork and is maintained in totally original condition down to her period-style cross-ply tyres.

TR2 1955 | PRI-222
PRI-222 was Paddy Hopkirk's works-supplied TR2.
One of two works TR2s built by the factory here in Dublin, the second works TR is the Laird/Collie TR2 IT-3714 also featured here on our website.
PRI-222 was supplied to Paddy who raced & rallied her extensively throughout Ireland promoting the TR model to prospective buyers. The car was factory painted in sea-green metallic with dark green carpets and mid-green upholstery, plus hard-top but with no heater.
Paddy's TR2 was tuned for speed and was the quickest TR2 in Ireland in the mid-1950s.
Today one of our TR2-owning club members has the original factory-painted hard-top from Paddy's TR2.

TR7 1981 | 901-XZJ
This TR7 is unique in that it is the last new TR registered in Ireland. With just two owners from new, 901-XZJ was lying in a dry storage unit for 17 years with a non-working engine before being completely restored to her second owner's exacting specifications.
901 is now a multi-award winning TR nationally and internationally.
Note; The first and last TRs registered new in Ireland, TS2 IR-6360 in 1953 and 901-XZJ in 1981, are survivors today and both are being driven and enjoyed regularly!

TR3A 1958 | GYI-817
GYI-817 is a superb example of an always well-looked-after sidescreen TR. Painted her factory-painted colour Winchester Blue, this ckd all-numbers-matching TR was purchased by her current owner in 1970. Picture is of GYI taken 'on tour' in Spain in 2019.

TR6 1969 | SIN-9
SIN-9 is a well-known TR6 in our club. She has always been well looked after by her previous owners.
Having lain unused for almost a decade in dry storage she was bought and had a detailed body-off restoration to factory-original specifications by one of our club members who specialises in TRs.
Now sold to a new club member, SIN-9 will hopefully see another 50 years of driving, fun and enjoyment.
